I find most VW links are either
air-cooled, new water cooled (A2, A3, etc.) or for sale/wanted listings.
Good watercooled links that pertain to Rabbits are hard to find. The ones
I do find often do not stick around for long. This is whay it's very
important that if you find VW Rabbit links, please submit
them to me!
Here's a list of links that
have some rabbitness to them.
All Things Volkswagens
-
VW
Vortex - This site is a great melting pot for all things
VW. The biggest attraction has to be it's forums!
-
Jan's
VW Page -
Despite being a Corrado owner (nothing wrong with
that) this page has MANY (almost TOO many!) FAQs about A1s and the CIS.
-
Hard
Core VW Page - This page features some of the fastest
VWs on the net! Complete with time slips!
-
David's
Volkswagen Page - Dave is one of the original
internet rabbit guys. This guy's had a page about as longs as I've had
a computer! He has a VW pickup with an Audi two liter in it (Nice!).
His page discusses engine swap possibilities and simple mods for all water
cooled models. Also has a nice pic gallery.
-
H20
is Cooler - Lee maintains a simple, but interesting
watercooled page with snapshots of his 16V Caddy project, his own personal
VW junkyard, and reader's own VW collection and classifieds.
-
Shade
Tree Alignment - With a ruler and a level you
can align your bunny. Don't believe me? Hey, I used to work in an auto
center and I can tell you, you may be better off!
Exclusively A1: Rabbit,
Caddy, Golf I and GTi as well as Scirocco and Jetta I
-
Pat's
Caddy Burnout Page - What happens when a friend
throws a 1.8 liter in a Rabbit Pickup with cheap tires and then turbo charges
it with almost 10lbs of boost? You tell me!
-
The
Rabbit GTi Page - A great page maintained by an
enthusiast that has own an '84 GTi since 1986 and now has 250,000 miles
on it!
-
VW
Man's A1 Only Page - We can use more of these,
A1 specific, pages. Currently under construction, I will be watching the
growth of this one!
-
Killer
Rabbit - Looks like your ordinary 1980 Bunny with wheels
and a body kit, but under the hood it sports a VR6 with multiport nitrous.
When the NOS kicks in, this bunny hops into action with 360 HP and can
do the 1/4 mile in 11 seconds. Oh, by the way, this Rabbit now is
AWD with the aid of a Syncro drive train. Insanity just got more
insane.
Cabriolet Specific
-
CABZILA
- Cabriolets are thhe longest production VW running
on the A1 chassis (longest running production of a watercooled VW PERIOD!)
on the streets. This is the site of a tuned Cabby named Cabzila (one "L").
